Maybe something in the form of an ivan bomb and you need 4 of them placed on a structure to go off in order to destroy it? Engineers should also be able to remove this. I'm not sure how c4 and stuff would work. You get 1 refinery with a small amount of credits slowly accumulating overtime and then credit dumps as normal when a harvester returnsĮngineer repairs infantry, tanks and structures over time You only get 1 guard tower with the exception of 2 - 4 pillboxes or Gun turrets Guard towers have line of sight rules meaning infantry and tanks that are really close to buildings and tall objects can avoid being fired upon. Guard towers fire quicker, have longer range and are more armored and nearly 1 shot most vehicles. Wouldn't it be cool to have a mod that has the rules of c&c renegade but in an rts c&c game? Tiberium Wars is the third game in the Tiberium universe (C&C has a few 'universes' which are pretty much unrelated to one another), but this game tries to act as an entry game, so don't worry to much that you're new to it.I played around a bit in tibed and was thinking. Tiberium Wars is set in a future Earth in 2047 following the arrival of an alien crystal called Tiberium which is simultaneously toxic to terrestrial life but also the most valuable resource on Earth. The tone is a little darker and more serious, but it doesn't go for gritty realism per se. A fun game, and a good entry point of the games you listed. Kane's Wrath is the expansion to Tiberium Wars. It has a single campaign set around the events of the base game. A fantastic entry, but make sure you play Tib Wars first. This game also references Tiberian Sun and Firestorm a little more directly, which are earlier entries in the series before Tib Wars. If you play Tib Wars, play this straight after! But don't play this first. Red Alert 3 is the third game in the Red Alert series. These games don't worry so much about continuity while the games are narratively linked, the links are very minor and each game works just as well as a standalone. This game starts in an alternate history where Hitler was removed from the timeline by a time-travelling Albert Einstein, thus leading to the rise of the Soviet Empire in the power vacuum. RA3 doesn't really take itself that seriously, it's somewhat more cartoony. The style isn't everyone's cup of tea and it does play into fanservice themes at times which date it, but it's still a fun game and a decent entry game, you can play it without really knowing much else. Uprising is the expansion to RA3, it contains three minicampaigns and a fourth bonus minicampaign focusing on the unit Yuriko, which plays somewhat differently. It's not bad per se, it's just probably the weakest here. If you enjoy these games you may want to check out the older games too!Ĭommand & Conquer (AKA Tiberian Dawn) - #% TL DR start with either Tib Wars or RA3, whichever you like the look of the most. The games with # have recently received Remasters. The games with % have (in their original form) been legally released by EA as complete freeware. The following is a copy-paste I've made that covers how best to play the whole C&C series I have some links to help with those, but I'll put that in a reply to this comment The others are available as part of The Ultimate Collection on Origin. #Best command and conquer renegade mods series The Ultimate Collection on Origin contains every C&C game, excluding the recent Remasters (the Remasters are available on Steam and Origin). #Best command and conquer renegade mods series.
